Fruit flies are major pests that cause significant losses in citrus production. This study evaluated the effectiveness of six trap designs in capturing Bactrocera spp. in citrus orchards by comparing catch rates, species selectivity, and ease of use. The research was conducted over three months in two Siam Madu citrus orchards in Malang district using a randomized group design with six treatments and ten replications. Results showed that trap A (Flight-T design) was the most effective, capturing an average of240 fruit flies/ week. Traps B and C (modified Steiner traps) caught 115–121 flies/ week, while Traps E (insect glue) and F (green ball) captured 32–98 flies. Trap D (fruit fly net) was the least effective, with only nine flies/ week. The findings highlight the importance of choosing the right trap design for integrated pest management to reduce chemical pesticide use.
