A field experiment was conducted during kharif2019-22 to evaluate insecticides and biopesticides against root grubs, Holotrichia serrata in pigeonpea. Imidacloprid 600 FS at 1 ml/ l was most effective. It recorded 0.31 grubs/ m2, 80.98% larval reduction over control, 4.47% plant damage and the highest 1823 kg/ ha yield. This was followed by Imidacloprid 40% + fipronil 40% at 1 g/ l with 0.40 grubs/ m2, 75.46% larval reduction, 5.55% plant damage and 1810 kg/ ha yield. Metarhizium anisopliae + FYM at 5 g/ l + 10 g/ l performed best among biopesticides. It recorded 0.62 grubs/ m2, 61.9% larval reduction over control and 6.82% plant damage. The most economical treatment was Metarhizium anisopliae + FYM at 5 g/ l + 10 g/ l, with the highest ICBR of 1:6.20.
