A survey was conducted on agarwood growers’ knowledge and perception of insects associated with quality agarwood production in Bangladesh. About 61.3% strongly perceived moth (Zeuzera spp.) as a beneficial insect for agarwood, yet half of the growers reported that their populations had decreased in their agar plantations. Around 79% of growers recognized this insect’s presence by observing their infestation marks, while 17% of users relied on their excreta for identification. About 82.5% of cultivators stated the borer infests the agar trees 6–10 feet above ground level. On average, 77.5% harvested 1–5 cm insect-infested wood. The continuous supply of quality agarwood was identified as the top constraint faced by growers in Bangladesh. One-fourth of the growers requested that beneficial insects be supplied to produce quality agarwood.
