A survey was carried out to document the Heliothinae associated with major crops from Kalyana Karnataka region. A total of four species viz., Helicoverpa armigera Hübner, Helicoverpa assulta Guenee, Heliothis peltigera Denis and Schiffmuller and Adisura atkinsoni Moore were collected and described. Of these, H. assulta on Capsicum annuum L. and H. peltigera on Helianthus annuus L. were recorded for the first time from Karnataka. Further, all the four species have been described for taxonomic characters with images and provided with keys. Besides, DNA barcoding was done for all four collected species and results showed 99–100% similarity with reference database of NCBI.
