Abstract

Study was conducted to evaluate the efficacy of cow urine enriched botanicals against shoot and fruit borer infestation on okra grown in open fields. Five different botanical leaf extract were used in alone or combination with cow urine in this study and an untreated control was taken to compare the results. The experiment used a randomized block design (RBD) with three replications. The results showed that the Ipomoea cornea subsp. fistulosa + cow urine (T2) was found most effective to minimize the shoot (9.98 %) and fruit (11.81%) damage and gave the highest yield (108.15 q/ ha), maximum incremental cost benefit ratio (1:189.26).
