Abstract

The “Sustainable Development Goals” of United Nations ’2030 agenda prioritize the goal of tackling the “climate change” as the top consideration while formulating strategies and accomplishing the designated goal(s). Libraries, being visited by diverse people throughout the world for garnering the knowledge, can play a pivotal role in enlightening human minds to combat the climate change and can make this commitment to a sustained environmental improvement by adopting “Go-Green”, an eco-friendly approach in library activity/operation(s) and transforming their own existence into “Green Libraries” and can start eco-friendly i.e. paperless document delivery approach by adopting and encouraging users to use electronic information resources. This paper highlights the approaches that libraries can follow to “Go Green”.
