The DSSAT CERES Wheat model and INFOCROP model were calibrated and validated with field data of two consecutive years Rabi 2015-16 and 2016-17 at Khalsa College, Amritsar under variable environmental conditions created by 15 October, 30 October, 15 November, 30 November, 15 December and 30 December. The genetic coefficients for cultivar PBW 621 and HD 3086 of wheat were estimated. In case of CERES wheat model, higher R2 (0.77) was obtained between measured and simulated for days to physiological maturity and D-stat 0.85 whereas higher R2 (0.78) was obtained between measured and simulated for grain yield and D-stat 0.80 for INFOCROP model.The grain yield between measured and observed for all the parameters were below ±10 % error. The both models could be used to predict the seed yield accurately under different management conditions. The CERES model and INFOCROP can be used to simulate the phenology and yield of wheat.
