Enhancing Productivity and Nutrient use Efficiency in Winter Maize (Zea mays L.) by Pant Fertilizer Band Placement cum Earthing Machine

The experiment was planned to study the effects of Pant fertilizer band placement cum earthing machine on performance of maize and nutrient recovery for two years at G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology. Pantnagar, India. Earthing-cum-urea application was done at knee height stage by Pant Fertilizer Band Placement cum Earthing Machine with different dose of nitrogen. The grain yield, nutrient use efficiency and net return increased due to earthing-cum-urea application by Pant fertilizer band placement cum earthing machine along with a dose of 50 kg N/ha and thereafter top dressing of 50 kg N/ha at tasseling stage.
