Abstract

The paper presents the theoretical and simulated investigation of a multinotch loaded rectangular patch antenna. A pair of two parallel notches are incorporated into the radiating edges of the patch to obtain dual frequency. The resonance frequency changes with the variation in notch length, width and position. The input impedance, Return loss, bandwidth and frequency ratio are calculated. Typically, the proposed antenna shows variation in BW of higher band from 2.93% to 4.14% and in lower band from 1.39% to 3.30% with change in notch dimensions.
