Zigbee Based Automation for Tele-monitoring System

Abstract

In a developing country like India, the primary concern which comes into picture is an ambulance service. We know that there are various government autonomous organizations which are providing ambulance services with all measures and safety equipment's being provided in the ambulance. But still proper attention is missing to the patients who get attacked by stroke and we are failing to take the patient on time to the hospital due to heavy traffic which has become common these days. This paper describes how traffic can be controlled for an ambulance when the patient is in emergency condition. Along with the provision of taking the patient to the hospital, his health status is constantly measured,monitored & the information is sent to the concerned doctor. It explains how a zigbee transmitter present in the ambulance can send information to the zigbee receiver present in the traffic control room. This information can be given to the traffic signals and accordingly the traffic can be stopped in all other directions except the direction in which the ambulance is coming. zigbee is used for a 2km range which is sufficient for sending the information to clear the traffic. The direction of ambulance is indicated by the driver by pressing the button in the transmitter module.
