Abstract

This paper aims at using mismatch filter to reduce the side lobes after it has been optimized as binary or polyphase code for match filter. Optimization aims at getting the best signal to noise ratio for a code. By adding zeros on both sides, it is seen that though the main lobe gets reduced, the side lobes are reduced significantly and the signal to noise ratio is better. This process of optimizing is termed as mismatch filtering. These codes have minimum integrated sidelobe ratio, when we compare these codes output to barker code and nested codes. This paper gives the detailed information about mismatch filtering codes and its analysis for different code length.
