Abstract

Nowadays, software technologies and cloud computing are developing very rapidly. Cloud computing concept is becoming popular to provide various web services to its clients. Cloud computing utilizes a variety of web resources to facilitate the execution of large-scale jobs. So, to select an appropriate node for executing a tasks is able to enhance the performances of large-scale tasks in cloud computing environment. In this paper, we propose a balancing algorithm, LBAT, which combines minimum completion time and load balancing strategies. For the case study, LBAT can provide efficient utilization of computing resources and maintain the load balancing in cloud computing environment.
