Face recognition has been a fast growing, allenging and interesting area in real time applications. The goal of this paper is to recognize different facial expressions of a single person so that it could verify those expressions and identify the same person that is available in database. We gave a program to recognize different facial expressions in this paper. In this novel work we are using Prewitts, Sobel and Roberts edge detection techniques to identify the changes in image (face) and resulting the distinguish the different facial expression. Matlab tool is identified to accomplish the task.
