Demonetized India: An Analytical Study

India is a country where lots of people are dependent on unorganized business demonetization is the process of stripping a currency unit of its status as legal tender. This paper discusses public opinions on the move of demonetization taken by Central Government of India on 8^th November 2016 with respect to its reasons and effects on people belonging to a different profession. The study used the survey method where data were collected through a structured questionnaire from a sample of 202 respondents by convenience sampling technique. The results demonstrate that in spite of inconvenience caused to people, they are still in favor of demonetisation and are willing to accept such kind of initiation with a hope that it has reduced corruption& parallel economy.
