Despite being the world's largest producer of coconuts, India's export market share for value-added coconut products is limited. India's trade balance has improved due to the CDB being promoted to the Export promotion council in 2009. Hence, the study attempted to analyse the export competitiveness of coconut products in India. The study revealed that India was a relatively minor player with limited export market shares of coconut products. The positive value of RSCA for coconut, copra, and activated carbon was depicted as having a competitive advantage in international trade. EPD analysis also confirmed that these products were rising stars, while coconut oil, desiccated coconut and shell charcoal had a competitive disadvantage, RSCA and EPD analysis also suggested these were lost opportunities.
