The study was conducted in Eastern Haryana Region to reveal level of awareness about antibiotic resistance among dairy farmers. Karnal and Kurukshetra districts from this region were purposively selected, and four villages from each district were selected randomly. From each village, 21 farmers were selected using stratified random sampling by categorizing into small, medium, and large farmers constituting a total of 168 farmers as respondents. Results indicated that small farmers had maximum awareness score of 0.20, medium farmers of 0.29 and large farmers with maximum score of 0.49 on 0 to 1 continuum which reveals very low level of awareness among the farmers about the antibiotic resistance. The awareness was low about withdrawal period, zoonotic transfer of antibiotic diseases and separate animal husbandry practices for sick animals. The awareness about antibiotic resistance was found comparatively high among large farmers and least among small farmers.
