Drip irrigation is basically precise and slow application of water in the form of discrete continuous drops, sprayed through mechanical devices caused emitters in to the root zone of the plants. Drip irrigation system is very profitable as it saves 6070 per cent water as compared to surface irrigation and other methods and reduces labour cost, protects the plants from diseases to minimize humidity in atmosphere. The study was conducted in Jhotwara panchayat samiti of District Jaipur (Rajasthan). The Jaipur district consists fifteen panchayat samiti, out of which Jhotwara panchayat samiti was selected randomly. In this way ninety six farmers were selected on the basis of proportional allocation to the size of sample from sixteen selected villages. The study shown that the majority of farmers (48.96%) had medium extent of adoption of drip irrigation system followed by 27.08 per cent and 23.96 per cent farmers were having low and high extent of adoption respectively, regarding drip irrigation system.
