Abstract

The present study was conducted in Awagarh block of Etah district of Uttar Pradesh to find out the association between psychological attributes of farmers and their level of adoption of organic farming practices in crop production. Study reveals that economic motivation had no influence on the level of adoption about organic farming practices on crop production whereas risk preference, attitude towards improved organic crop production practices, innovativeness, and management orientation had an influence on the level of adoption about organic farming practices on crop production. Study also concluded that a fair association between risk preference, attitude towards improved organic crop production practices, innovativeness and management orientation and level of adoption about organic farming practices on crop production.
