Abstract

The present study is to be carried out in Jabalpur district of M.P. on the basis of random sampling, to study the impact of Kisan mobile Sandesh for dissemination of agricultural information. The study conducted on 2012 and total 117 respondent considered for the study. The study revel that the change in the adoption of recommended practices was medium (61%) The profile analysis clearly indicated that majority of the KMS beneficiaries belonged to the young age group (57.26%) and were having education up to high school (47.00%). Their main occupation was farming (70.08%) possessed medium size of land holding (50.42%) and belonged to medium annual income (50.43.00%) category. They had high perception (44.44%) level and were medium cosmopolite in nature (47.86%). Majority of them had higher economic motivation (42.74%), higher information seeking behavior (41.02%) and perceived message as appropriate (44.44%). This KMS services provided production technique & information, which are develop by agriculture scientist and farmer can find out relevant information through this inquire services system and it is helpful for adopting new technology.
