With the advent of green revolution, Punjab agriculture has become highly capital intensive. The objective of the present study is to analyze the farm expenditure pattern of the all categories of farmers in Amritsar district of Punjab. Based on primary data collected from 90 farmers of Amritsar district for the year 2018–19, the study concluded that all the medium and large farms were highly mechanized. Even one-third of marginal farms and 70 per cent of small farms were tractor operated. All the farms of the state have tubewells with electric motors. It was also observed that average farm expenditure was directly related with farm-size. Farm expenditure was found to be ` 106386, 199173, 398625, 730717 and 1720786 for marginal, small, semi-medium, medium and large farms, respectively.
