Training of farmers has been considered as a critical input for accelerating agriculture production and transfer of technical know-how from the core of the process of agricultural development. Jabalpur is one of the important Chickpea growing district with area of 72.93 thousand ha, production 99.00 thousand tones. Present study was conducted in Sihora block of Jabalpur district purposively. In Sihora block, 6 villages where adopted by KVK, Jabalpur from each village, 10 respondents were selected randomly total sample size 120. The study showed that calculated ‘Z'value 1.79 was found to be significant, showing an improvement of gain in knowledge and Z value of 2.13 was higher than the table value, which clearly indicated the difference in extent of adoption between participating and non-participating farmers about chickpea practices. Therefore it is clear that the trained farmers score enhanced in term of knowledge as well adoption of chickpea production technology.
