Farmer FIRST project on “Integrated Approaches for Food, Nutrition and Livelihood Security of Rural Households in Fatehpur District of Uttar Pradesh” is being implemented villages, Karchalpur, Kharouli and Mirai villages of Devmai block of Fatehpur district, to motivate the farmers for enhancing the production additional income through different intervention and. In summer season, interventions such as hybrid maize and okra and short duration mungbean and urdbean were introduced for enhancing farmers'income. Data were collected from 690 farmers through structured questionnaires on socio-economic variables and returns from these interventions. Data were analyzed using statistical tools such as descriptive statistics and partial budgeting technique for drawing logical conclusions. Results indicated that introduction of hybrid maize in place of kharif maize fetched an additional income of 26, 600/ha. Introduction of summer mungbean and urdbean fetched an additional income of 18, 075/ha and 15, 790/ha respectively while introduction of okra fetched an additional net income of 64, 120/ha.
