Since we live in the Information Age Information technology has become a part of our everyday life and we can say that the technology involves the development maintenance, use computers, mobiles, smartphones and software for the processing and distribution of the Different kind of information to the farmers called Information technology. For example-Information Portal can help farmers in rural areas to know about new tradition and technologies of farming that helps in better production as compare to farming without new technical information and thus they earn more money from their product. Information portals can play a crucial role in preventing imbalances caused due to wrong and inappropriate information's. It can create awareness and equip both farmers and scientists to work together to generate technology appropriate to the local situation. The present study deals with the introduction and importance of Information Technology and their Portals in the context of village development. Both primary and secondary data was taken for this study. Result revealed that farmers were aware about various IT portals especially to the mkisan portal and they get almost every type of information from this portal.
