The study was carried out in the three districts of Uttarakhand State of India viz. Udham Singh Nagar, Dehradun and Tehri Garhwal on two hundred women leaders especially Pradhans who were selected through census method. A semi-structured interview schedule was used to collect the data from the respondents. The results of the study revealed that the need of improving the communication skills was most prominent training need in the study area. It was ranked first followed by leadership skills ranked second and management skills ranked third. The variables like religion, information seeking behaviour, social progressiveness, power orientation, decision making ability, family type, extension agency contact, mass media exposure, information sharing behaviour, achievement motivation and self-esteem were found to have positive and significant relationship with training needs of the women leaders and the variables like caste, family size, land holding and annual income had negative and non-significant relationship with the training needs of the respondents.
