Abstract

The study was conducted in Akbarpur block of Kanpur Dehat district selected purposively. A total number of 100 respondents of women SHGs were selected purposively which were selected from 20 Villages randomly. The structured schedule was developed keeping in view the objectives and variables under the study. The respondents were contacted personally for data collection. The analysis of data was done by using the percentage, mean, standard deviation, and correlation coefficient for drawing the inferences. The data revealed that the out of 8 personal suggestions as perceived by women SHG members viz.” Pertinent knowledge should be provide about new innovations through different programmes viz.,” was ranked I followed by dependency on male should be avoided through programmes” ranked II, out of 7 social suggestions as perceived by women SHG members viz. “the positive social attitude among women role outside the home in rural society should be buildup” ranked I followed by “parda system” should be avoided in rural society among women” ranked II, out of 4 economic suggestions as perceived by women SHG members viz.” financial dependency on male should be avoided through self-reliance” ranked I, followed by “loan facility should be provided through banks of rural women” ranked II, out of 5 suggestions ingroup formation as perceived by women SHG members viz. 'shyness should be avoided among women through education and participation in different social activities” ranked I, followed by “cooperation should be maintained among women SHG members” ranked II, out of 2 suggestions in functioning of women SHG were reported “the leadership Characters among rural women through participation in different organizations should be buildup “ranked I, followed by “working ability should be provided among rural women “ranked II, out of 4 technological suggestions maximum respondent were reported “training programmes should provide related to women SHG” ranked I, followed by “technical knowledge should be provide about women SHG “ranked II, out of 3 suggestions of government officials were reported “government should come with a special policy to create a separate cell for solving problems of women SHG” ranked I, followed by “Government should encourage and support NGOs to attempt and create favorable policy environment for women” ranked II and out of 3 suggestions in bank transaction were reported 'should be provide complete information about banking procedures” ranked I, followed by “ruleand regulations should be completely fulfill of women SHG members ” ranked II.
