Abstract

The present study was conducted in Maharashtra to analyze the attitude of the farmers towards the Kamdhenu Dattak Gram Yojana which is a major dairy development programme in the state. The attitude of the beneficiary farmers towards Kamdhenu Dattak Gram Yojana was analyzed by developing an attitude measurement scale based on the Likert, R. (1932) technique. A total of 120 farmers respondents were selected for the study from Pune and Nashik division of Maharashtra. The findings of study inferred that the overall mean score of the beneficiaries' attitude towards the scheme was 4.21. It could be interpreted that all the beneficiaries had a positive attitude towards the Kamdhenu Dattak Gram Yojana. About 47.67 and 25.83 per cent of the beneficiaries had favourable and more favourable attitude towards Kamdhenu Dattak Gram Yojana, respectively. Whereas 27.50 per cent of the beneficiaries expressed less favourable attitude towards the scheme. This was reflected that the respondents responded all the positive statements of the scale in 'favour' and negative statements in 'disfavour'.
