Abstract

Vegetables are a good source of income to the growers and play an important role in human diets. They are quick growing and yield immediate returns to the growers and provide nutritional security. Inspite of Promotion of many Govt agencies, availability of improved production techniques, hybrids, protection measures still there is a gap in production as per study vegetables growers face major constraints as technical, social-economical, marketing constraints etc. It was found that most of the farmers found in middle age group, literate, belong from OBC, large family size, having small land holding with no active social participations.
