Abstract

Till now carried out surveys in the agricultural fields with the farmers the root users is the best among all the other evaluation checks for different recommended technologies. Keeping this under consideration, present study planned by compiling three year survey starting from 2017 to 2020 in the wheat season for understanding the response of the farmers towards different recommendations so as to reflect those to the researchers. In this attempt, different aspects viz. adoption of recommended wheat cultivars, their received yields, adoption of different seed treatment materials and used fertilizers pertaining to N,P and K recorded from the farmers. Attempts made by FASC, Tarn Taran through demonstrations, field days, camps, lectures, distributing pamphlets etc really encouraged the farmers to adopt the recommended technologies at their fields which on one side reduces their cost of cultivation while on other mitigates the adverse effects of the global warming. Present carried out survey confirmed 4.61 per cent higher adoption of recommended cultivars, adoption of seed treatment patterns and sustainable fertilization in the district.
