The present study analyzed the constraints faced by the women of dairy self-help groups (SHGs) in Rajasthan. The primary data was collected from 160 women dairy SHG members and to prioritize the major constraints faced by the SHG members, the Garrett's Ranking Technique was used. The findings showed that the major production-side, marketing-side, organizational and technical constraints perceived by the SHG members in the study area were ‘unavailability of green fodder around the year’, ‘non-remunerative price of milk’, ‘lack of training’ and ‘lack of technical know-how for taking up income-generation activities’,respectively. Hence, cultivation of green fodder in leased-in land by SHG members may be promoted. Moreover, training on different income-generation activities may also be provided to the members by the government to enhance their skills.
