Career preferences by girl students of agriculture university

Abstract

The research study was conducted to know career preferences by girl students in Post Graduate Institute, Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth, Akola, Maharashtra to with a sample size of 120 girl students from M.Sc. in all the disciplines were selected randomly. The exploratory design was used in this study. The data collected by using questionnaire. Most of the respondents highly preferred career was agricultural education followed by services in banking, agricultural research, services in extension field/government job, Agri-business/self-employed, Agro-industry/private job, farming, Nongovernment organization, politics, social services. The major problem faced by the girl students in career preferences of Agriculture University was lack of confidence in preferring a certain career.
