Abstract

The study was conducted in Udaipur district of Rajasthan. Total 120 women dairy farmers were selected to find out the different constraints perceived by women dairy farmer in scientific management of dairy animals. The findings indicate that constraints perceived by women dairy farmers with high magnitude were; lack of knowledge about breeding practices and repeat breeding in breeding aspects, lack of knowledge about balanced ration and importance of mineral mixture in feeding aspects. High susceptibility of dairy animals to disease and lack of knowledge about preventive measures of common diseases in health care aspects, Lack of awareness about culling practices in management and lack of training on processing of milk products in milking aspects.
