Assessment of maturity of vocational attitude among senior secondary school students in Agra district

Abstract

Vocationalization is widely believed to be a vehicle for self-dependence, poverty reduction and economic empowerment. Vocational attitude can be currently regarded as part of a strategy to boost the economy. The present study is aimed to analyze the difference in maturity of vocational attitude among senior secondary students. Secondary school is best time to encourage students to explore more information of courses for future career. For this study, descriptive method was used and conducted in private and government schools of Agra district. Total 112 participants were select randomly from each selected school. To compare the maturity of vocational attitude, a standard tool of Mehta, M. was selected to collect appropriate data. This study found the significant difference at <0.05 level in maturity of vocational attitude of students based on their gender, age, their parent's education and their family monthly income.
