E-resources effectiveness in agri-business education-A case study

Abstract

The study aimed at finding the profile characteristics, attitude, awareness and use of e-resources by the agribusiness students of one of the ICAR institute in Hyderabad. It also revealed that the problems while using e-resources and suggestions to overcome those problems. The survey was conducted online due to COVID-19. Despite of our best efforts, we obtained 60 responses. The collected data were analyzed by using statistical tools viz., Frequency, Percentage, Pearson's correlation coefficient, Garret's Ranking and Path Analysis. The results exposed around 50 per cent of the students were frequently using e-resources at their respective residence and the availability of facilities, awareness and use of e-resources were high. Major purpose of using e-resources is to develop current awareness and its portability. All attributes influence the use of e-resources by positive and significant relationship expect gender and family income. The location for using e-resources showed directly huge positive effect on Use of e-resources among e-resources facilities, purpose, awareness and attitude towards e-resources. It can be deduced that the users must aware of latest e-resources and its search techniques for best application of available e-resources.
