Formation of Farmer Producer Groups (FPGs) is an attempt to expand and establish groups that primarily comprised of group of farm producers for their economic benefits. The present study focuses on the group dynamics of members of tribal FPGs. Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh with highest per cent of scheduled tribe population was selected. The study was carried out in Seethampeta block which had the highest number of FPGs and members. Three villages with highest FPGs from the block were selected and multistage proportionate random sampling procedure was followed. A sample of 145 respondents were interviewed for the study with the help of pre-tested and well-structured interview schedule. The group dynamics was measured using six indicators on a three-point continuum. The collected data was analysed using mean and standard deviation. The results of overall group dynamics index showed that a little more than two-thirds (67.59%) of the respondents belonged to dynamic category. Hence, emphasis can be given to the group dynamics indicators to promote sustainability of the tribal FPGs.
