The present study aimed to understand the extent of inclusion of rural women in dairy enterprise in District Fatehgarh Sahib of Punjab. For the present study 120 rural women were selected and interviewed using structured interview schedule. The data analysis indicated that majority of the rural women participate in the activities which were related to milking, sale and processing of milk. On the other hand majority of them (91.67%) were not responsible for taking animal for grazing. Very less numbers of rural women were fully involved in feeding and watering animals. As far as purchase of animals and animal feed and fodder were concerned about 97.00 per cent of rural women were not engaged in these tasks. Nearly fifty per cent of the rural women participated in health related activities. The investigation further revealed that the overall inclusion of rural women in dairy enterprise was at medium level.
