Maize (Zea mays) is one of the most important cereal crops in the world grown over in area of 132 m.ha. with a production of 570 mt. It is the crop with the highest per day productivity. In India, maize is next important crop after rice and has acreage around 6m.ha with a production of 10.5m.t. Maize is the third most important cereal crop of the country after rice and wheat. The study was conducted in six village with total 220 respondents were selected through proportionate random selection technique. For collection of data a structured schedule was developed. The respondents were contacted personally for data collection. Frequency, percentage, weighted mean score and ranks were used for analysis of data and inferences were drawn. Problem means the barriers or obstacles, which were perceived by the maize growers in the adoption of improved maize production technology. It is needless to mention that pace of adoption can be augmented by overcoming the perceived constraints. So it was felt necessary to find out the major problem which prevented the farmers from adoption of maize production technology.
