Abstract

The study examines the impact of SAMETI training programmes on the knowledge and skill of the extension functionaries and a total of 3 training programmes were selected purposively under the study. It was seen that majority of 57.14 per cent of trainees had medium impact of training programme on the knowledge and skill of the trainees, 48.57 per cent of trainees reported that there were fewer field visits and demonstrations followed by 42.86 per cent of trainees reported that there were no lodging and boarding facilities. The study further revealed that the profile variables i.e., education, cosmopoliteness and mass media exposure had positive and significant relation with the impact on knowledge whereas age, experience of service and trainings received had positive and significant correlation with the impact on skill.
