A research study was carried out to evaluate the performance of the Soil Health Cards (SHCs) of farmers of Saharsa districts, which were distributed by the Mandan Bharti Agriculture College, Agwanpur, Saharsa, Bihar. Almost all the respondents (Soil Health Card Holders) were seen to be categorized between medium and high level in terms of value attribution to SHC recommendations. As far as knowledge on Soil Health Card Management was concerned, 74 per cent respondents had medium level of SHM. More than fifty per cent (54.00%) of the respondents had high level of satisfaction on SHC recommendations. Out of the 200 respondents studied, 108 of them had followed SHC recommendations throughout five years. Foremost constraints expressed by the respondents were inadequate follow-up by extension agency (71.0%), availability of soil sample from farmer's field (59%). Lastly, it was suggested by the farmers that SHC should be issued prior to crop season (70%) and farmer should be trained to take soil sample from their own fields (63%).
