Abstract

The Cluster Front Line Demonstrations of lentil were conducted during the rabi season at 200 farmers’ fields, to demonstrate production potential and economic benefit of improved technologies consisting suitable variety (JL3), integrated nutrient management (20:60:20 kg NPK/ha+ Rhizobium + PSB @ 5g/kg of seed), integrated pest management (deep ploughing + seed treatment with Trichodermaviridae @ 5 g/kg seed at Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh during rabi season of 2015–16 and 2016–17. The improved technologies recorded mean yield of 12.03 q/ha, which was 63 per cent higher than that obtained with farmers practice of 7.40 q/ha. Improved technologies gave higher mean net return of ?30,881/ha with benefit cost ratio 2.84 as compared to farmers practice (₹ 13,930/ha, benefit cost ratio 1.89).
