The present study has been designed to investigate cost of cultivation and returns per hectare of strawberry. A sample of 80 strawberry farmers were selected by using proportionate random sampling technique from three districts namely Jammu, Samba and Kathua districts of J&K of (UT). The results revealed that overall cost of cultivation was 5,15,842 out of which cost of cultivation in Samba district was 5,55,068, in Jammu district it was 5,05,444 and in Kathua district it was 4,62,888. Cost Benefit Ratio of strawberry cultivation of three districts namely Jammu, Samba and Kathua districts was 1:2.53, 1:2.42 and 1:2.3 respectively. The findings of study shows that strawberry cultivation is a step towards the diversification and commercialization of agriculture in J & K of UT and it also helps in doubling the farmers’ income.
