Abstract

Due to advancement of technology Biomaterials are used in many artificial prosthetics within the human body. Some major draw backs associated with this biomaterial of new synthetic material concerns is their high variability in material properties and method of fabrications. However, the excellent biocompatibility of this biomaterial to motivate for alternative manufacturing processes such as Rapid prototyping technology. Coatings may be applied by advanced methods. The present work will focus on the different fabrication process of Hydroxyapatite(HAp) on to metallic substrates and porous structure for biomedical applications. It is intended to present the pertinent literature on(HAp)as it relates RP Fabrications and also briefly details omethermal spraying experiments.
