Abstract

This paper will highlight the benefits of thermoset plastic in increase in strength, weight reduction of bricks, cost saving construction. This poject will rigorous assessment methods and will broaden application. The stongest specimen tested was a brick with 5% of its total volume of sand replaced with thermoset plastic. This results in increase in strength of structure and reduction in the weight of the brick. The weakest specimen tested was a brick with 20% of its total volume of sand replaced with thermoset plastic. This test resulted in loose bond formation in ingredients of bricks.
