Abstract

In this paper, the effects of welding process parameters of Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) on microstructure and mechanical properties are found out. GMAW process is one of the important process in various industrial operations. Experiments are conducted as per central composite design matrix to find the effect of process control parameters like: voltage, wire feed rate, welding speed and gas flow rate on microstructure and mechanical properties. The tensile testing of the welded joint is done by a universal tensile testing machine and results are evaluated.
