Road Accidents Development Model Based on Intersection Parameters using Regression Models

Rapid growth of population coupled with increased economic activities has resulted in tremendous growth of motor vehicles. Traffic accident related deaths and injuries result in not only substantial economic losses but also serious physical and mental sufferings. Developing countries are much more affected from traffic accidents than developed countries. Road accidents are essentially caused by interactions of the vehicles, road users and roadway condition. Regulating traffic on roads is an important task. The analysis and identification of such road accident prone zones is essential to reduce the accidents. The development of model was completely worked on the basis of intersection parameters and no. of accidents by regression analysis.
