In a passively interdependent financial world, the recent Global Economic Crisis has posed a spilling effect on the economies across the world. The crisis also impacted the European economy at an unexpected and large magnitude vis-à-vis the USA and other developed countries. In the present paper, an attempts has been made to analyze the various causes and issues that led to the crisis in the US and its diverse impacts on the European economy.
