Study of Dual Active Bridge: An application to Solid State Transformer

This paper presents a study of Dual Active Bridge (DAB) in application to modeling of Solid State Transformer (SST). Inclusion of DAB in SST makes the power flow bidirectional and changes the conventional scenario. SST is a new kind of power electronic transformer which is self regulating, coil free and able to correct power quality problems. This paper studies the part of SST which gives it the whole new view to power generation and transmission.
