Abstract

In this paper Indium tin oxide nano powder is synthesized using the liquid phase co precipitation. Indium chloride (InCl3.4H2O), tin chloride (SnCl4.6H2O) and ammonia was used as initial precursors. The ammonia was used as dispersant and also it was assisting the precipitation of the indium and tin hydro oxides at certain pH. It was seen that pH was itself maintained between 5–5.5 during precipitation and later it increased to 8–9. Absolute alcohol or deionized water was used as solvent.. The crystal structure and size is studied by X-ray diffraction and SEM analysis.
