Abstract

The model is done in Solid Works, then imported to ANSYS workbench environment so as to perform static structural analysis. In static structural analysis, the model is evaluated in several materials configurations. The model is then solved for stresses and deflections. The maximum von-Misses stress and maximum total deformation plots are then compared with admissible stress, finally, stainless steel, aluminum, and acrylic were chosen as materials construction for 3D delta printer.
