Survey on Various Types of Noise and Methods for Noise Removal

The research for efficient noise removal methods from images stills a valid and challenging task for researchers. Images are mostly degraded due to noise. The first preference is given to clearing image before applying different filters on it. In areas such as computer vision and image processing, removal of noise from images is a relevant research area due to its wide spread usage and application. Its accuracy in areas as medical, remote sensing and image retrieval where it may contribute to save, sustain and protect human life. This paper describes various types of noise and methods of noise removal from digital images.
