A brain computer interface (BCI) is a device that helps people with motor impairments, to allow for an external communication from the electrical activity of the brain without the assistance of peripheral nerves or muscle activity, promising further improved the quality of life of patients. BCIs can use noninvasive or invasive methods for recording the brain signals that convey the user's commands. Whereas noninvasive BCIs are already in use for simple applications. This investigation presents the study of the signals produced by the brain, the prototype using mobile Mindwave the device, which measures safely and outputs the power spectra of EEG (Electroencephalography, i.e. alpha waves, beta waves, etc.), NeuroSky eSense meters (attention and meditation) and blinking. Finally, for data processing and control we use in LabVIEW software.
